When we traveled to Chon Buri in May 2023, we presented the first prototype of our DENCAI system. The system was then used extensively in a test phase during the dengue season in the summer and checked for strengths and weaknesses. We were therefore very keen to receive feedback from users and went back to Chon Buri with a list of questions. With the help of translations from our Thai partners, we were able to ask all the questions and received valuable feedback. Overall, the system was very well received by everyone and there were no failures or malfunctions. After such a complex system design, we are of course delighted that we understood the processes so well that we were able to map them and thus make the users’ work easier. For the next development cycle, we received feedback that push notifications for new tasks and offline functionalities would be very practical for users and that they would like more ways to visualize the data. We have taken this feedback back to Germany and are working diligently on it until the next test phase.
